The Aroma Of Aroma................

Come friday, the rest of what was left of SNMS98 would be sending a flurry of messages back and forth as to what the plan was for the weekend. We have traveled a long way from evening dinners at Aroma(probably the only gud contribution by Sriram to the gourp) as college students to dinning at the most expensive speciality restaurants. Normally the plan used to end up as "To meet at accord and then go on to brilliant tutorials". This week surprisingly all 5 along with Ponram turned up for the weekend get-together and SNMS 98 was in full strength (of what was remaining). We then to relish our memories, decieded to go to where it all started as college students,to Aroma(i.e. if you can discount out all the panipuri-bhelpuri-samosa-chana shops and of course Mathura).

This place somehow has a very special bonding to all of us and we, as old hands at ordering food, barged in and ordered two plates of Gobimanchurian, aloo gobi, gobi masala and mattur panner. The guy gave us a quizzical look as who are these owergrown fellows who seem to be knowing their way around so well with the menu and who are ordering 7 side dishes for 6 people. When we finished the first course and then ordered for two more plates of gobi manchurian he almost fainted. He must have gone in and remarked "Nalla oru vaarama sorae pakkale pola irukku."

It was somehow a great recollection of what we used to do earlier and what we were doing now but there was no much change observed. After all when one is with friends who cares a shit as to who is looing and who is thinking what. It was a very pleasant "Malarum Ninaivugal" evening. Missed the ICICI dog, SLUCKUMI and jetti.
